Need Tire Recommendations

The Pirelli P400 tires on 92 Saturn SL1 are worn out at 27K. I do mainly city driving in eastern midatlantic area. I'm requesting recommendations for replacement tires that handle well in all season driving including rain and snow. Can I get good tires for about $60 each? I bought the P400s from Mr Tire and recs for other tire dealers?

Thanks,

Mike

I put Goodyear Integrity's on. So far, so good. It is getting harder to find 75 series tires, though.

I'm surprised the Pirelli's wore out so fast. Every pair I had before them wore out around 25-30k but the P400's I have already have like 25k on them and have more then half left!

I'm surprised to. I like the ride including handling of the P400s.

How many miles have you put on them? Do you like the way they handle?

You can get good tires cheaper than that. After years of using Dunlop D60 A2, I put Kumho Ecsta HP4 716 on my BMW. I was very impressed with them. They gave up very little to the Dunlops in absolute performance, but were better in ride, noise, and wet performance, and much better in snow and slush. They were also a lot cheaper -- $200 and some change, out the door. Even more impressive -- I didn't get the usual dynamic balance, and they didn't need it -- they ran like a Swiss watch. So for any small car, these Kumhos are worth seeking out. IMO they're the best tire value in about 20 years.
