News from SDAM

The Police car show is in full swing, with the 1051Studebaker having Gotham City OPolice on it. Ywep, another movie car. The T-bucket (1923) looks good and one of the drivers was tslking how culprets refuse to believe it's a real police vehicle, even as the uniformed officis writng thte ticket. Rodders seem to lit though. The trouble is that we couldn't find the hidden switch so we could get it our of "park" so had to move it with a floor jack. It's about half over, but we have had some great response and may extand it. (which will delay the Mustang show.)

I found an envelope with :"muat read" on it near the Xerox in the library. In it was a multi-page missive with a political slant. I gues I'll have to write the unknown person who left it there about what Politics did to this NG. At least we used our name, though.

I'd love to hear more about the lock business (Shiva) JPs musical son, Bondo's physical problems, Pat's doings in exotics lands, Barry's broken down van..... even if Gary coprrects my spelling...

You have got to be kidding... Somebody 'trolled' you personally (but anonymously) about this NG in print/paper at a museum function ? I'd be worried about stalkers out there Jeff, (er... Mister X from now on.....) Rice

Sorry for the confusion, Jeff.

The envelope was left behind the counter, but where any volunteer or staff member going there could see it, pick it up and read it. It concerned one viewpoint on the Iraqi war.

My comments I was thinking of passing on to the person who put that message in the envelope, assuming he looks at it occasionally, would be about this NG and the interesting items that used to be here, like your having to figure if you should keep the meds in your fridge or bring the generator over to your neighbors, Ossifer Dave, Jp and so on the the the departure of folks for the Forum, perhaps driven away by the political stuff. I miss the people stuff - but do hit the forum almost daily, then come here.

I don't think the "people stuff" drove anybody away, but the political crap did, for sure.

I still drop in daily, but my news server has been screwed up for a while... really hit and miss. Google is a PITA, so I just don't post much.

I agree with everything that Dave just said. (except for the news server thing)
