How many quarts of brake fluid are required in the DOT-3 / Outback `01 wagon? This is part of my preperation for buying the nessecary supplies in advance before having service done.

About two PINTS are needed for a total flush. I just buy two small bottles or one of the quart bottles. Once brake fluid is opened and recapped it seems to be good for only one year or so. SO USE FRESH UNOPENED BOTTLES.
