Wheel bearings/axle nut loose/hub splines are being chewed up/and just maybe something in the front differential. Just for the heck of it, drain the differential and look for metal.

center diff? Mine went a while back and showed those symptoms. It only clunked when warm, but once warm clunked all the time when turning hard! cross your fingers, cause it's expensive.
Sounds like a worn outer cv joint. Check the boot, they tend to split and all the grease gets spun out.
