Sure, it is well known that carbon dioxide can be captured and reduced to chemicals which have value as fuels. And the processes are usually energy intensive.

Plant soy beans, sugar cane, or potatoes and you have converted CO2 and water into materials which can be foods and can also be tapped for energy.. No catalyst needed, and the driving force is the sun.

This guy is just academically full of himself.
