Obsolete Parts Drawings

Trying to help out with an AC installation on a 1965 Nova small block 285 V8. The right side compressor mount is unlike any other GM product and apparently unavailable. Any ideas on actual drawings? Shouldn't be hard to make (cut, fold, weld, machine, finish)) with actual printed dimensions but the vehicle is half a continent away from me.

Know any source for the drawings?

Andrew,

rather than try to fabricate the part, you might want to see if a used one is available from one of the mail order junkyards, there's some in NM, AZ, etc. that specialize in older cars (because they don't rust away like they do up here.) The engine is likely a 283, BTW (possibly

327?) but that shouldn't make too much difference so long as you just say "small block V-8."

Gaah. Typo, yes classic Chevy 283 V8. Thank you

Spoke with over twenty classic Chevy parts houses and boneyards, another dozen criagslist Nova listing guys after all the major parts houses.

Have the Chevy manual sketch; it's big, folded, looks roughly like 50% of a glove box liner in steel. Very much unlike all the other (left side mount) Chevy AC compressor supports.

has a mount but I can't tell if its for the 6 or v8. They have some others listed too but no photos. You might want to give them a call or email.

There's plenty on eBay.
