2003 Corolla door locking problem

My girlfriend has an early production 2003 Corolla LE with 47,000 miles. Just recently, she's been experiencing an on-and-off problem with the remote unlocking. When pushing the remote button twice in order to unlock all the doors, the driver's door is beginning to remain locked. Does this sound familiar in any way? I presume a car of this age produces fault codes of some sort. Might one show up for this? Thanks for any help!

Either the actuator in the door is binding or has a loose connection or the linkage is binding. The only way is to remove the door panel to watch what is happening.

This sort of problem will not produce a fault code and is not in the list of On Board Diagnostic Generation II (OBD II) fault codes published by the Society of Automotive Engineers.

My 2000 Corolla has a rear door remain unlock sometimes, I have put the Silicon Lubrifiant to the button, now it works well . If need you can open the panel to check, it's very easy, only 2 screws to open .

Good luck
