Hi fellas, Can anyone help me ...i,m looking for a free downloadable workshop manual for my surf .

I,m trying to change the left side front inner drive shaft boot ....and am not sure if you have to disconnect the shaft and remove it all together or can you split it at the flange joint and remove the drive flange to enable you to slide the boot on.......the drive flange on the shaft seems to have an internal cap on it ...what does this cover ..a nut?.... or can the whole cv joint and flange be slid off as a unit?...on splines maybe?

many thanks for your input

I am pretty sure that you have to disconnect the shaft and remove the entire shaft to change the boot.
