Going, going, gone...

After trying to find it a good home, my short-lived Tercel 4WD wagon is going to the heap tomorrow...

I really hate to do it, it just runs so DAMN well, but all the body rust is bubbling through again and I'm not putting another 20-30 hours into it again. It has 210,000, doesn't smoke or leak and starts on the first turn of the key. Everything works but the AC. Ah, well...

dood, how many cars do you have?!

Natalie

  1. "Hachiroku, 1985 Toyota Corolla GTS. Awaiting restoration.
  2. 1983 Tercel 4WD wagon, headed for the heap.
  3. 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S
  4. 1988 Supra Sport Roof
  5. 1992 Grand Voyager AWD van, for hauling Band stuff.
  6. 1994 Chrysler LHS, nice buttery leather seats for my nice buttery a..er, behind (daily driver.)

um, 5 (as of tomorrow...)

and most of them have KICK @ss sound systems! (and I have enough bits left over for the rest of them.)

Almost ready to take the Supra out of the garage, and really need to get the Celica tested for emissions so i can DRIVE IT! It's my second favourite car...

Your progression looks like you gave up on Toyotas and migrated to Chryslers. Don't let Art see this post.

Oh, Art knows about my LHS. One of my first posts was asking if anyone knew about the rack-and-pinion, and Art told me about the rubber bushings. Total repair: $22. The thing was given to me by a customer, who also gave me the van...

I will ALWAYS have a Toyota!

Good boy! Now FETCH

Natalie

Fetch another Toyota? Don't make it any harder for him! He already has enough difficulty resisting his internal inclination to do that! :)

...emulating Natalie by writing a gerund phrase after his name. :)

LOL he tried to 'resist' mine! My mom got dibs though! An '87 with only 137 K is plum indeed!

I like gerunds - they're easy modifiers! Dangling participles are really annoying, however!

Oh, you know it. Especially when they get caught in the blender.

I never let my danglies anywhere near a blender thank you!...:)

TMI!!

Natalie

Guy pulled in yesterday in an IMMACULATE '93 MR2. First words outta my mouth? "Hey, ya wanna sell it???"

Too Much Information

Natalie

Ha ha! We know you too well... well, actually, not /too/ well. Just well enough. Anyway, I enjoy reading your posts. Stick around (I know you will).

Stephen

What are you insinuating?? :) Anyway, you know what they say: "Emulation is the greatest form of flattery." Or maybe that's "imitation"...? But it's also been said, "Emulate, but never imitate." So, anyway, I was making a small, humorous tribute to you.

Keep polishing that well-worn halo. :)

Stephen, out.
