I'd like to install tilt steering from an 88 4runner into my 85 2wd pickup. Is this possible?

ANYTHING is possible.
Yes - prety simple swap --- you need the top 1 1 /2 feet (to the universal joint). If it has intermittent wipers and yours doesn then get the wiring to a smals 1x3x4" green/blue control box.
