Yeah...tell me where to send the card and flowers

XA - I'd like to drive my Echo more than either of them, though - damned lousy drivers!

Natalie

AH - like that song about the Nash Rambler..."Beep-beep" I love that song

Natalie

To whatever hospital I'm sending *you*

Natalie

Yeah, sorta, except the Tempest could eat the Nash for lunch.

My Dad had a Nash Rambler...what a (ugh) car. It looked like a Metropolitan on steriods (Google Nash Metropolitan, in case...)

Oh,dear...

So I take it the poor boy made it back with nary a scratch? Good. And PROMPTLY handed the keys back, with no protest whatsoever, right?

I seem to remember lots of cussing to get that 'ol 454 in there..given the fact that the car had a 350 in it when he got it.

Yea, that's one thing most modern cars just don't have...that whole gut-shaking "whumpa whumpa whumpa" sound to them.... Some ricer kids try to put big-ass exhausts on their RBs, but it sounds to me like jumped-up lawnmowers!

Aww, but old Blue sure wasn't ugly to look at either. Has a nice metal plate blue paint job on it, no dents (that I remember, it's been about 20 years, ) and the interior was in pretty good shape.... of course, given the amount of time and money my dad put in it, there's no surprise there.

He pleads the fifth

Natalie

LOL! Some of them sound real nice, but some kid went by in a Honda the other day, and I thought someone was tuning up a snowmobile! I'd ditch that exhaust FAST!

So give the girlfriend a call!

:

There are some things I'd just rather not know...

Natalie

Nah, life's been treating me very well

:-)

Natalie

"Hey buddy! How do I get this car out of second gear...?"

You used to be able to have real fun with a wrench and a shoehorn building the car of your dreams. And there were the factory-built sleepers like the Dodge Dart with the 440-Sixpack under the bonnet... But the EPA done gone and took all the fun out of it.

Heh. Definately true. :)

My current dream car is a early 60's Skylark Convertable. Until then, though, it's likely to be a Vibetrix. Oh well - at least it won't break down every six months like a KIA, so that's sometihng.

LOL yup!

What a bunch of buzzkills, huh?

Natalie

okay, I missed something here. your Echo got wrecked........

PLEASE tell me your son wasn't driving it at the time

sounds like my brother, almost every car he touched, eventually got wrecked......... a couple of them multiple times before being totalled...

I was prepping a Kia for showing to a prospective buyer and I just couldn't help thinking that I'd have a hard time driving something that the name could also stand for Killed In Action...

Uh huh. Nat remembers when SHE was that age, eh, Nat? Some stones are better left unturned...

Now, about those bikini pics... ;)
