Being pro-McCain doesn't mean holding back stories about him. Unfortunately, regardless of whom they endorsed or were for, they used really bad judgment.

I asked my father about this, and he didn't think China received anything imporatnt from Loral or Hughes. Sadly, Google's search results were overwhelmingly for political articles, not technical articles that could have shed light on this matter.

Loral received permission from Clinton (a donation recipient) to share technology with the Chinese which enabled more accurate targeting of their ICBMs.

I make plenty of sense to people that can read and know when someone's being sardonic...
