Not really. Played bad golf on nice public courses. Since I wasn't into ice fishing or hunting the other six months I stayed inside or shoveled snow.

The Adirondack Park is beautiful during the Fall. The snow and the cold trumps everything else though. Also when you live somewhere you don't look at it with the eyes of a tourist.
All in all, New York State would develop a better reputation if they shed New York City from themselves. Why do you think Giuliani didn't make it very far in the primaries? That ingrained NYC sneer he has turned off everyone west of the Hudson River and invoked visions of arrogance and elitism. Conservatives won't stand for that kind of attitude but the liberals are drawn to it as personified by your frontrunners in the primaries.
