That was before the Gremlin? OK.

Tomes, a big flower?! That's too femme, even for *me*

Which was excellent advice!!

P.S. I am *so* happy the cold front came through & cooled the air down - the classroom was unbearable the last 2 days!

I know what you mean. Besides the Gremlin, my other favorite vehicle in my line-up was that 64 Corvair Van. Like this one:

not as shiny.

This one by the time I got it had had the engine replaced by a bigger one that did not seem to match up with the original transmission correctly and kept snapping clutch shafts. It was really fun to tool around in. Tomes

I had a '69 Chevy long wheel base. But I always wanted a Corvair. I just saw one last fall, not in good shape, but driving down the road!

It's on my list. I want another van, and if I run across one that runs but needs work...

First came the Gremlin in late 1970 (mine was a 71) which was a merely Hornet with the back end chopped off. The Pacer came out later on (in 75 I believe).

Here is a link to some Pacer history:

Yep, this is my second career now to get a second pension. Just finishing my first year of being the real teacher (as opposed to sub or long-term sub previously). 6th grade science in a city environment where most of the kids do not want to be there. I make it fun tho. Tomes
