Toyota Cressida Question

Where the *SWITCH* is located???

To the left of the steering wheel, on the stalk. Move up for right, down for left.

Sorry, I was wondering about my terminology when I sent the message. I think I should have asked "Where is the relay switch for the turn signals?" The turn signals don't work but the emergency flashers do, so there must be a separate relay switch for the turn signals. Am I right? Would you know where it is? Thanks Gary PS: This a 1981 vintage Toyota.

The relay should be on the driver's side kick panel. I am assuming LHD, if it's RHD it may be on the passenger's side. It should be marked in the manual (if you have one) or maybe on the cover to the fuse block.

Yes, it is a nice car. I personally drive a Corolla - 1982 vintage. The Cressida is not mine but a friend's. I appreciate your help as I am sure he will appreciate mine. Would I be correct in assuming that, on the Cressida, there are two relays meaning one for the four way flashers and one for the turn signals? As to a manual, I understand that he has a manual but hasn't found what he needs to know in it. Thanks, Gary

Look behind the change holder.

My Cressida was the model after and it didn't have a relay as such, only the flasher unit and a fuse that feed both the hazard switch and the indicator switch. If the hazards are working but the indicators are not I would look at the indicator switch or get a test lamp and backprobe the green and orange wire to see if the switch is getting power.
