If a shop did it they often write when it was done on a sticker near or on the belt housing.

Sometimes the mechanic puts his phone number their in case the female customer wants something else fixed.
The guy who sold the car to me he was telling he did the major service from Toyota after 60,000 Miles. I am not sure whether they changed the timing belt or not, even if it is Toyota they will put a date on it right..? so when i checked with toyota people they said i need to change the timing belt at 90,000 Miles, but it is 99'Camry. when i checked with my mechanic he told me i have to change the timing belt for every 60,000 Miles. Now should i change the timing belt or wait till 90,000 coz mine has now
72,000Miles on it. If i wanted to change how much it cost..? I appreciate your advice. Thanks VickyGet the nane of the Co that did it and Call. Or have someone you trust look at it, wear is visable.
I just had mine changed on a 95 4 cly CAMRY . @ 62K Miles. There was a proper sticker for the job put near the belt cover.. Also on a 1990 Camry my son has he has same sticker attached. I asked for the OLD belt just to look see if it showed any wear. Other than the print on the flat side of the belt been faint. I could see no obvious wear.
But I am happier its done.
In passing the Mech had wrote out the sticker so bad that I could read neither the date or mileage it was fitted. I returned to said garage and asked that I was supplies with a new sticker that could be understood. MMMMMMM long faces.
Tks Johnny UK.
Bummer. Sorry.

My 99 Camry V6 calls for the timing belt to be changed at 90,000 miles, not
60,000. I couldn't tell from your initial posting if you have a four or six cylinder; and I don't know if the four cylinder has a different mileage requirement.from
The 4 and 6 cylinder Camry needs to have timing belt replacement at 90K miles. See
