cruise control light blinks when activated, but cruise does not work at all .

I had this problem, or similar on my 1995 Camry. It would blink 5 times when trying to set the unit. It turned out to be the brake stop switch. Check that out.

i use my foot to forcefully lift up on brae pedal but that does not correct problem. any other way to check switch ?

i have two identical 99 camrys
where is cruise control fuse ?
i can swap that or other parts to diagnoes.
