There should be a triangular plastic cover inside the cabin area of the door that you must pry off. Behind that is three studs that you must unbolt and then the mirrosr housing should separate from the door.
Don't be scared, you can do it.
Just stick your finger on the top corner of the plastic cover and start pulling slowly. You'll see it start to come off. By then there will be more of a opening somewhere else and you can grab it there and pry it off from there.
If you are still too scared take it to the dealer and they will be glad to charge you $50-100 for the job.
I can't remember for sure since I did my 94 Camry about five years ago. There ought to be a Molex connector where you can separate the wires from each other and then plug them back together. Otherwise just mark the wires with tape and cut them. You can always reattach them with butt splices and a crimper.
