85 toyota auto trans

I have the oppritunity to buy a 85 toyota 4wd with 146000 miles for a 1000 dollars.IT has a lot of rust in the bed but what bothers me it the automatic transmission.Any comments ont the durribility of these transmissions would be appreciated.oOh yeah the truck has a 22r motor

Toyota rear wheel drive automatic transmissions are built strong and will last a long time if taken care of. Check to fluid for color and smell.
