Clutch Problems ?

Apr 02, 2005 1 Replies

i have a '92 with the 4cyl. & lately when i shift, the revs appear to go faster then the truck picks up speed. my guess is that the clutch is slipping. is there an adjustment that can be made or should i just replace it? also....any ideas as to how much $ i am looking at?

Thanks

Hydralic clutch with no adjustment other than petal catch point. Clutch disc is worn out - wait too long and you'll need to have fly wheel surfaced or replaced. Parts are $150. Probably looking at $500 to have done w/parts. That's clutch disc, pressurplate, throwout bearing and flysheel bearing.
