Experience with "Backup Cameras" on a Tacoma?

Looks interesting. What does it cost??

Our fire department is now ordering them on new rigs. I really like mine. Still need to pay attention to the mirrors but it has great light sensitivity backing in to a dark barn on a sunny day. Best part is the microphone so I can hear the dying screams of the nitwit standing behind me in total oblivion to the glaring white back up floodlights and piercing alarm as I cull him from the gene pool.

And make sure it has a "Mirror Mode". This flips the image as if it were a mirror instead of displaying as if you were looking over your shoulder out the rear window.

And as for the manufacturers reference to increasing number of backover fatalities, a local TV station did a test wherein the small sedan with high rear trunk lids had a deeper, longer blind spot than the SUV or minivan. Which in hindsight was pretty obvious. Um, make that "...in retrospect..."

Hey! Just hook up a camera to that in dash dvd player you know you want and have a 7 inch screen. Bill

Hey! Now if you really need a camera make sure you get one that can pan and tilt. Motion tracking with zoom is another option. Maybe you can just be more of a cautious driver and if in doubt - exit the vehicle and check the rear. Bill
