I have already seen it on a VW Magazine. It was built to be a TAXI.

Aren't there a lot of Beetle Taxis in Mexico? Are they two door?

Yeah, but the two door Beetles in those pics seem to be modeled after the traditional black 4-door London cabs.

One wonders if the Beetle would still be made in Mexico today, if they'd had a 4-door version. As many of you probably know, Mexico City passed a law a couple years ago requiring all taxis to have 4 doors, because of a terrible problem with kidnappings in phony or corrupt cabs

Papler. The reddish orange one was originally a police vehicle turned into a fire brigade vehicle. Unique Performance purchased it and it is now the lowered green one in the same posting.
