all i hear is crickets!

I'm counting on the rain packing the dirt for me. I've been running the tractor over it as I go to help the packing & settling along. When I get things about level I'm going to scrape a couple of inches off the top and then put sand down on it. After the building has been up for awhile and things have settled more, then we will concrete it. Looking forward to getting this all done.

That's why I'm doing this one: for the experience. If I screw something up on my 72, it won't feel as bad as doing it on a non-fatchick. :)

finishing on 3 engine rebuilds, 2 carb changes and tune-ups, a conertable top on a 76, a complete wire and metal fuel line on a buggie and thats this week so far...lol no crickets here or if there are you can't hear them over the compressor.

MIne has been untouched since May last year, when I left it behind in Finland... well, untouched in mechznical improvements kinda way. My friend is taking care of it for me and he was allowed to drive it as much as he wants. I meant to install a CDI and some other minor stuff, but I never had the time. Right now "Goth" is garaged for the winter.

Good to know, I still yet to have to rebuild it although it doesn't look too trashed, still need to get it all cleaned up. I know there is fuel crud in there for sure.

Thanks Joey.

Hey Chris:

Engine is not seized. It still cranks and truns. Will have to check out Speedy's tutorial.

Well, I ....

-installed a hard start relay

-spent time looking for an emblem for my '73 hood

-tried to decide whether it's an engine or a motor

-wondered if it's a `parking brake' or an `emergency brake'

-decided that motorcycle riders should not be forced to wear helmets

-and I shouldn't be forced to wear a seatbelt

-worshipped St. Muir

-figured out what the best aircooled engine oil is

-and the best spark plugs

-decided that Pepsi is definitely better than Coke

That's about it.

you may joke, and you may say that, but i assure you, you will feel just as bad....you will feel so bad, that if you do mess something up, you will do it again, correctly....if not now, later...i promise...

hmm....where to start....other than to say, you sure are a troublemaker...LOL....you tha man Scott... (BTW, you can add that emblem and it will look stock...if you do it right......the hardstart relay is for wussies, the best oil is the slick kind, the best sparkplugs are non fouled ones, its a parking brake normally but an emergency brake when your brakes fail, it's definitely an engine untill you need to purchase motor oil, seatbelts and helmets are only for those that are at least semi-responsible, and pepsi is definitely better than coke to us southerners...)

Well, that's why I put a smiley next to it. I've screwed up a couple of times that I had to undo and redo. You're right: it did feel bad but have learned to not do it again.

I hope to one day get an older vert that needs TLC so didn't want something like that to be my first restore.
