Clutch Cable Stuck in the middle After Bowden Tube

Hi, I was driving my bug then the clutch pedal hit the floor, so ithought the cable broke, so i bought a new cable, I took out the pedalassembly then it turned out the clutch shaft Hook thing broke, So IJacket up the car, took out the wing nut on the back, and I decided tochange the clutch cable while I was at it. Then I went to the front ofthe car and started pulling the cable as it said on a manual, Itstarted to get harder and harder so i thought it got stuck in thebowden tube, I went to the back of the car disconnected the tube, butthe cable had already passed it. I have been trying various ways topull/push this stupidly placed cable , with pliers, with vice grips andhammer, with a hook but the cable only gets more damaged as I try andpull/push it out more.Im stuck here, any suggestions/ideas or should i take it to anexpensive vw mechanic?Thanks guysCamus

Success!! Yeah It appears I disconnected the red wire from the push on connector from the starter while removing the old clutch cable, I dont even know how I did it, but oh well!, Now I drove to work today instead of taking the bus!
