In case you had wondered if I had thrown the towel with my engine, this weekend I buttoned up the longblock, and put on the first pieces of tin (cleaned, of course :)

I have now to work in the accesories....

One small problem I have is attaching the exhaust. Heater boxes had been soldered to the exhaust previously and I want to attach it this time using bolt on methods... Any ideas on how to fix them? Duct tape and hose clamps?

Good work Eduardo, strange fuel pump, and please spend some of the local currency on a spray can of gloss black... :0)

The fuel pump is a common replacement unit they sell nowadays. I've used them too. With the outlet pointing straight up, there's less chance of connecting the lines backwards and I like how the outlet is pointing towards the carb already. One less bend in the fuel line.

I guess I should... but I was eager yesterday to put the manifold and ran out black paint...

I kind a like red, though :)

Pump is Brosol, bought in Brazil 2 months ago for US$5 (new!)
