I am new to VW's, are the fenders for a 77 convertible the same as other VW super beetles? Specifically would '74 super beetle fenders match?

There is a subtle difference between '74 and later years, having to do with the cutout for the bumper shock absorber.

'74 Std and Supers used the same rear fenders. '74 was the first year for the shocks. '74 fender is one-year only.
The shape of the rear valence changed in '75; it became bulbous to accommodate the bulky muffler used on FI. I don't think that affected the fender shape but I can't prove it.
All the above applies to US models; I don't know if there were parts differences between here and Canada.
