I am searching for a front hood handle with a lock and key for my 1968 beetle. Any suggestions?

do these exist? dont you have the release in the glovebox on your 68?
doesn't exist? Because the latching & locking mechanism is operated from inside the car and there is no place for a locking mechanism to mount, unless you do a LOT of modifications. That's how just about all cars are.

I dont think they exist...my car does not have a hood release in the glove box, but I will look for mods changing it to this.

Is your release under the dash on the left side? Convertibles had a locking pull instead of the standard pull.
