idf velocity stacks questions

getting the parts to put dual 40 idf's on the son's 1.8 liter bus engine.



anyone know if i should use velocity stacks on these ??



later on getting a cam and headers, but that is all.

Yes, always. There's no downside. Make sure there's enough room between the top of the stacks and the top of the aircleaner. Use good quality air cleaners.

Sure. Couldn't hurt. Just don't drop the stack nuts down the carb, and use a high-top air filter.

found some stacks that are 1.25 inches high . ordered the 3.5 inch high air filters just in case people started recommending using the velocity stacks.

i guess that the stacks are for retaining the "fuel fog" that stock air filters do for the standard bug engine ???
