Hi, Recently purchased a 2002 Jetta GLS, and am looking to have some fun with the vehicle I have dubbed "Poppasmurf". Was looking to see if there were any reliable VW tuners in CT. Don't know If I'm going to do anything more than wheels, tires, maybe e-code lighting to start, but I'm looking to see what others have done, what not to do, and so on. I'm not looking for "Fast N Furious", but something slightly more aggressive than factory.

While your post is on the wrong newsgroup, I do know there's a really good VW mechanic ("Alpha Motors") on River Street in Bridgeport. I do my own mechanic work so never used him, but he is very capable and specializes in VWs. (He used to actually specialize in AC bugs) Not sure if he does performance work, though..
Of course, if you really want to have some fun, you could always buy an AC bug... :)

Guess I am just a VW /Vintage car SNOB! I don't much care for any VW product but the BUG up to 66 or any other car (Muscle car, Vintage Hot Rod etc ) newer than 1970.
I have owned 9 Bugs since my first, a 58 in 1968 . Man I had fun in that car and the Girls really dug it too!
