new vw bug problems

Okay, but fortunately I know Chicken of the Sea is really tuna.

(anyone who watches The Newlyweds on MTV knows that reference... Wait. Aren't you guys too old to be watching MTV? Nevermind then. :)

I can't compete with Sharon Osbourne, she's too skinny, and fortunately my kid is MUCH cuter than Kelly or Jack even if she does have a Madonna gap.

Besides, I don't think anyone would want to actually *watch* what Jan and I do when we're together. :) It's all ass and elbows after Hello.

..................I'm going to make a prediction here. It'll be Jan driving the kids around in a late model toyota or whatever while working on Kidd's ACVW's in his spare time or there won't be any nooky for Jan................lol

I guess it would depend on whose A** is in camera view. If it is Jan's then most of us would probably not tune in. :o)

On a bet I never changed oil in my 72 ford 150 from 71,000 miles on. I sold it years later in Mesa at 149,000 miles on it and it still ran great. I just added oil when it needed it and drove it. My 92 Nissan pick up has over 260,000 miles on it and I've changed oil about every

7,000 miles since it was new. I use syntec 5/50 and always have since the first oil change at 3,000 miles. Uses no oil, leaks no oil and still runs great. Anyway, it is true. Dennis

Chris, Scaredy-cat or no Scaredy-cat, Consumer Reports did a study in New York taxi cabs a few years back. The study showed that even in those stop&go cars, changing engine oil every 7K would be fine in comparison to the original oils and engines available when the oil change gurus decided to state the 3k mile interval............oils have changed , engines have changed. However, I will still agree , with the 3K interval on the ACVWs because of the fact they are still old technology and should be cared for as such.............*often* is good in an "open to the atmosphere " engine case................ Kinda like checking the water every couple of hours of driving in your old Model T. It had an unpressurized cooling sytem and boiled off water at an alarming pace in hot weather.

I do change oil more often with the ac VW for several reasons. First because of the fact it has no oil filter (I've added on on mine). Next, even though I have a lot of faith in the new oils, I believe the design of the old motor makes it subject to outside contamination much easier than new designs. Just my opinion of course.
