OT: What the Finns REALY are like :o)

I had some computer problems and just never bothered to get a decent newsreader back until... about 5 minutes ago. I still don't intend to be here much because of work and school but I thought I would come say hi to everybody.

Yeah, the downpart of a wedding (yes there is one) is that as soon as you put a "wedding tag" on, it the prices go sky high.

...."Do you want a suit sir? ....Yes it's for my wedding. ....Oh lets ad a zero to the price"....

Same with flowers and location for that matter. But yes i still want to marry her.. :-D

Hope so ;) I had a lunch with the soon to be happy couple on thursday. They might have taken a cruise this weekend to celebrate the occation.

We certainly did go on a surprise honeymoon cruise, we spent a day shopping and walking around in Stockholm, Sweden and two nights on the ship. Very cool. Literally even, out on the deck. . All that walking made my legs a full 2 inches shorter, I swear. The cold weather had the same effect on some of my other body parts but that we fixed once we were back onboard the ship. ;)

Mom and dad had put a lot of effort on the program and arrangements on board (not to mention money), and everything went fairly smoothly.. apart from mom and myself being doused with red wine by a waitress (black clothes, no biggie), and a non-planned nekkid drunk dude jumping on the stage the very second they announced our names and congratulated us on our Big Day (we were watching a musical) to swing his willie around. He too seemed to be affected by the cold weather, poor bastid. It took a little too long for the staff to escort him out. The crew were really sorry about all of it and awarded us with even more personalized musical performances. The visual parts of which were a little more pleasing to the eye. Thank heavens the original plan of making us two dance in front of everyone didn't quite work out and we didn't need to. I would have gladly danced with my wife, but if you knew how well I can dance, you'd probably agree that this was a blessing in disguise. ;)

The wedding ceremony on Friday morning that started the whole deal for us was rather short and uneventful, a simple civil wedding at the city hall. I had my Best Man there and his wife, my folks, and my sister & her bf with us. It was still nice. Mom and dad got married exactly the same way some 30 years ago. :) Gotta follow the tradition here. We are planning a second wedding next year this same time, which will then be a more traditional ceremony and reception with guests and all.

Of course it doesn't change the fact that I'm now officially Off The Market, Out Of The Game, Unavailable, Married and a Lost Cause. And I hear the hell froze over too on December 9, at a little over 9am :D

Damn. I suppose that means I have to get married now, too. I said I would never get married until Hell froze over. But wait, the Chicago Cubs still haven't won the World Series.

I suppose that means I will find a pre-68 VW for $100 that needs almost no work, and drives perfectly? Yeah, right.
