We need to buy this man a drink!
Hi guys,
The procedure WAS NOT -- repeat, WAS NOT -- done. I don't know why. But I awoke in such pain that simply getting out of bed had me crying.

Sorry to hear that Bob.... I assume they had a good reason for *not* doing the procedure... Maybe you were mumbling about old vw's while you were under and they couldn't take it!.... All joking aside, thanks for the update and please do let us know why they'd put you through that and not actually do what they set out to do...
Sorry to hear that. Keep the pressure on your Dr's to make sure you don't stay in pain. I honestly don't think Dr's understand pain and if not pressured they won't help you.
:(
hope you get something sorted and some releif soon.
Thinks of you

You sure ain't a sissy, Bob. We gotta find out what went on and get you into a program for pain control. Can we (I) do anything to help? Is there any chance you can come to the Mayo for treatment?
Is is amazing WHO is actually on some of these lists! Good offer John J! :-)
Sounds like a great offer for you Bob, and I hope that your pain lessens!
Bob,
I'm sorry to hear that the procedure was not completed. I speak as something of an authority on the subject of chronic pain, having had a severe neuropathic pain problem for nigh on to 20 years now. Pain is a bitch, it can sap your strength and more importantly your will. Sorry to hear that you are fighting this battle along with your cancer.
What specific procedure where you attempting to have? Were they attempting to implant a spinal cord stimulator or a intrathecal drug delivery pump?
