sand seal pully only lasted a year?

So I got this extreme oil leak that just started. It's spaying oil all over the engine compartment. Everything is soaking in oil. Traced it to the pulley seal. I think it's an empi. I don't remember. So I pulled the pulley and ring off. I remember the outer ring with the rubber seal being nice and tight when I installed it about a year ago. Now it all loose and misshapen.

Is this normal for a sand seal pulley to where it's seal out? What's a better replacement than an empi?

possibly excessive pressure in crankcase! or vent clogging up!

Could be.. I remember travis advising me about adding a breather box. Time I look into it..

tnks.

Ya know.. From it's wear pattern, it looks like it's been sucking air in. hmmm.

It is suposed to let air in at that point, so if you did not went your case elsewhere after installing the seal...........
