BTW.........it still doesn't drip or burn any oil.

Add in another 1500 bucks on top of that for missed work...i am self employed...no vacation pay, no sickleave, no nothing....plus a "spur of the moment" trip like that would have been basically impossible for *me*....and i'd *much* rather do it myself...but that is just me, i feel everyone should do what they want or what is best for them...ya know?

Now I am curious so I'll email you, John.

For me, the work on anything is half the fun. I like working with material and tools, tinkering with stuff that might bust your hands up and gets you filthy. . Driving the bug when it is actually finished might be anticlimactic.

Seriously, that might be hard to understand if you worked on cars for a living or don't enjoy working with your hands. I don't understand how anyone could tinker with software, hardware, DSPs, algorithms, weird ass math, etc at the end of the day, but maybe those people are car mechanics during the day. Whatever makes your milk curtle, right?

I need to exercise the other side of my brain so I don't walk sideways or fall over. :)

I do really appreciate everyone's comments and concerns. Thanks a lot!
