I've just bought my first Volvo, a used 1999 V70 T5, with approximately 70K miles. The "SERVICE" indicator just went off, so what are my options? Can any mechanic do the routine check of the car, and have the indicator turned off, or is this just a ploy to get me into the Volvo dealership for an unnecessarily expensive visit?
