Toronto area 240 Volvo parts???

Does anyone know of any good aftermarket or used parts specialists for older Volvos in the Toronto, Ontario area?

I have an 88 240 DL sedan and need the following (I would like to avoid U.S. prices and shipping):

-MANN oil filters or OEM volvo filters

-driver's seat back foam (new or used)

-steel rims 14" (new or used)

-hub cabs

-any other parts i might need in the future

Recommendations for wreckers would be handy too if anyone has them.

Thanks a bunch, Cton Toronto, ON

Hamilton's near Guelph is a wrecker specializing in Volvos but they are over-priced in my opinion. Most of the bigger standard wreckers should have a 240 or two in the yard. Just phone around.

You can often buy cheap used Volvo rims off CraigsList in the Toronto area.

Good luck!

These are the new bus in town. I have not dealt with them. On other hand, Hamilton Corners are overpriced and hard bunch to deal with. I would go to them as last resort.

_____ I would consider FCP Groton in the USA for parts. Costs are generally

40% lower than parts bought in Canada. I have dealt with them for about three or four years. Reliable bunch. Have them ship via regular parcel post. No hassles at the post office. Only "issue" is that you have to wait for bits to arrive, so you must plan ahead.

If buying from the US do NOT let them send by UPS as UPS will try to gouge you with fake brokerage fees. Use parcel post via the post office, as the poster below states.

Thanks for the recommendations. Hamilton Corners is a bit far from my place to 'experience' (about an hour and half drive from where I am in the city). I've actually been using FCP Groton for a wack load of parts so far and find their prices very good. Plus their site is handy and easy to use. The only downfall, and the reason I was asking in the first place for a local Toronto supplier, is that it takes a week or two to receive parts depending on how much I want to pay for shipping. I guess I will just have to plan ahead and just be patient, dammit! heh heh.
