95 Cabrio help needed

I have a few minor issues; please feel free to chime in with any/all info.

1) The combo seal/cover at the bottom of my windshield is badly deteriorated (only 2 pieces of rubber remain) and is held on by only 2 of the original fasteners. (I think there were 6 total). Is this a big concern? Will water running under this cover cause any problems?

2) All my driver side moldings are coming off. Only the door molding appears to have any damage. Cabn I just buy new moldings and attachment clips and put them on myself? Has anyone seen this done or know of a source online for how to do it?

3) My floor doesn't have the little attachment points for floor mats. Can these be added by a person of average ability? Where do you buy them? Do I have to buy a set of factory mats to get the installation hardware?

Thanks in advance,

Payton's Dad

Update

1) Not a big deal. The rubber in the cowl cover ALWAYS rots away. Found 2 used ones (w/shipping) for $40

2) The molding for the driver's door was $86 with tax, included all 7 clips (5 center, 2 shorter ones, @ each end) and took less than 10 seconds to "install" i.e. push the grommets into the holes in the door.

3) No progress

On point #3, if you buy the factory VW rubber mats for the 95, the driver's side comes with an attachment widget. It is screws through the carpet and provides a post for the mat to attach to. It works pretty well, although not as well as the factory installed ones on my '01 Jetta.
