Well, start by taking out the passenger side switch to make sure that's not malfunctioning. Check for crud or other signs of corrosion. And since the power for all four doors does go through the drivers door you will want to check the wires in the door jamb, along with the driver-side switch.

Meanwhile, if you want the window to stay up them open the passenger door panel and disconnected the power to the motor. At least that'll keep the snow out.

Today the window would go down when I pressed on the brakes. Are they connected somehow?
