source for rebuilt 2.0 engine?

Hello, All!

Anyone have a good source for arebuilt golf/cabrio 2.0 engine? My daughter drove with oil light on for 10 minutes/no oil, ... so needless to say, need a new engine. Dealer wants $2600 to put a used engine in. Seems could get a rebuit for better than that.

Will sell you a long block for about that. There are many others. Of course, labor is on top of that.

for a remanned engine.I have known them almost since they started up the business. If you do contact them let me/us know what happens. ;-)

later, dave (One out of many daves) BTW I would probably install a used engine in it since they are pretty bullet-proof!

I would lift the oil pan and see what the damage is. If the crank is okay then maybe all it needs are new shells....
