On the dashboard the light that shows I'm indicating remains on all the time....although dimmed. When I indicate the light comes on fully but doesn't flash at all. The indicators do flash when I use the hazard warning lights. Hope that makes sense!

have you replaced any exterior bulb just before this problem started?
Nope. Just chsanged the plastic dash trim. I've just checked and ALL trhe outside indicator lamps are fine and dandy.
