04 X3 trim

I have a black on black 2004 x3 and was wondering how to touch up little scratches etc on the plastic trim around the car. Ti does not seem to be painted but if you get a little wax on it from waxing the car or a scratch it looks horrable. is there any way to fix or clean it off??? TIA

I have seen trim paint (spray cans) in parts stores around me in fact I have used it once. It is a textured paint you can put on the moldings, it did not come out great though (at least for me) . If you want it to look great I would replace the moldings or deal with the scratches. If you are real artistic you can try to spray them but I would do all moldings so they all match. also chip guard is supose to work good to protect the moldings for a future reference, they should be able to do that at your local tint shop.

Good luck, chazg32

If you are talking about the black trim pieces, I have used Mothers "Back to Black" with very good results on my E46. Simoniz makes a similar product - named the same thing IIRC.
