Re: CD player problems

Yep, the CDs play fine on other CD players. My wife plays them all the time in her cheap $30 CD player and in the DVD/CD player. I've closed the session. Anyone else out there with an older stock CD player playing CDRs? I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks, Gary

Do the CDs that don't play in the Jeep play in other CD players? The owners video that came with my 01 wrangler warns me not to try to play anything except music CDs in the CD player. It says that their manufacture is not as standardized, so there is no gurantee the player will play them correctly. The one and only time I tried playing CD-R's in my CD player, it had a hard time ejecting them, and I had to get a pair of needlenose pliers to get the CD-R out.

97 ZJ stock infinity 3band am/fm/cd plays anything I have burnt for it. I use cheap bulk pack cds and several software packages. the 12disc mp3 player sure is a fun add-on.

Early CD players will not play CD-Rs that are labeled 'MUSIC' or AUDIO'. These discs are made to be recorded in a home audio CD Recorder, not in a computer CD-R drive. Recording an Audio CD-R in a computer and then trying to play in an old cd-player will result in an error code. Most often a ERR-22 problem code.
