Hatch Release problem on 1990 Integra 3 door LS

Pop up that little tab at the top of the plastic trim for the release levers. Remove the screw underneath and pull the trim off up and forwards. (The plastic tab will probably break off. Not much you can do.)

Take a good look at the hatch release lever. You'll probably discover that with a flashlight and a pair of pliers you can persuade the cable end back onto the lever, then kinda bend stuff up so it stays in place.

From now on, just be gentle when letting go of the hatch release lever and the cable will probably stay connected even with a bit of rust in that area.
