Mercury Sable 1997 power steering whine turning right

Hi

My 1997 Mercury Sable wagon has a power steering whine when turning to the right only. PS fluid is full. Is there anything I can do aprt from opening my check book and doing lots of overtime. Many thanks

It could be the power steering pump.
