This is the mutipoint injection CVH yes? Anyways, a failed O2 sensor will increase fuel consumption by about 15-20%. Have this checked for switching activity. Obviously if you having a fueling fault the sensor may appear to be dead (not switching) so have someone who knows what they are doing to diagnose it quickly without throwing new parts at it unnecessarily.

First thing to do is to get it scanned. It has a KAM chip (keep alive memory) and any intermittent faults should be stored.
