advice for replacing suspension in bronco II 89 please

I have a ford bronco II 89 and i believe the suspension is bad (disclaimer: i'm not a car person)...for example, i hit a speed bump and the whole car really sways side to side bad...it sucks. So, i'm thinking the suspension needs replaced, right?

wouln't this be a good time to get a suspension lift? i'm replacing the same parts, right? if i'm right about all of this (???)....how much more would a 3" suspension lift upgrade cost me over just replacing the suspension i have with identical parts.

Thanks for your information and education ;-)

You got a high center of gravity, ultra short wheel base, narrow as hell wheel track, twin I-beam front suspension on top of that, vehicle, that's what they do. Wanna make it worse, lift it.2-4 inches and put over size tires on it. wanna live longer, slow down.

I agree about it being not the best for a lift. As for the suspension, have you replaced the shocks? One of the main reasons for sloppy handling.

thanks for your reply. i'll definetly take the advice of expereince

Yes good advise. This is not a 4x4 to lift a lot.
