My (F250) breaklight fuse keeps blowing a few seconds after starting the truck and I think stepping on the break. Any ideas of what might be causing this? Is it common for the breaklight switch grounding out?

In general, fuses don't blow unless something is wrong. Look for a defect in the BRAKE light wiring, it is a short circuit to ground somewhere between the fuse and the lamp socket in the back.
Look for the simple things first, a bad bulb with a broken filament could cause this. Anything recent that may have pinched wires? The stoplamp switch itself is most likely not grounding out, it simply supplies power from the fuse to the circuit. From the stoplamp switch it goes to the multifunction switch on the column and then to the three stoplamps.
