Superduty balljoints

Anyone here know about a problem with F250 Superduty ('98-up) steering knuckle balljoints wearing prematurely?

I think have seen something about this on ford-trucks.com. Maybe a search there will turn up what you are looking for.

I have a 99 E-250 with the 4.2 and mine were shot at 107,000. Also the tie rods were history about 87,000. Cost me $200 for ball joints and $40 to have them pressed in/out. I did the labour. At least I can grease my front end now :) (which I do every 1500 miles)

Thanks for all the replies. Reason why I asked is I had a vibration at highway speeds ('02 SD Crewcab, V10, 28,000 miles) when the brakes were applied, took it in under warranty and they resurfaced the rotors front and rear. Also had them rotate the tires. When I got it back it has a noticeable left pull that was not there before I took it in. Brakes not grabbing, thought it might be a tire problem so I swapped the left and right tires, pull still there. Will take it to another dealership, I think this one screwed something up again.

A friend of mine with a 99 superduty Powerstroke said he had to have all his front end joints replaced at about 60K as well. That's when he told me about this problem, just wondered if it was as widespread as he said. Guess so.
