traction control on 07 sportrac

Is it possible to completely disable the trac control when needed on the 07 sportrac. Was on fire trail and power to the wheels were constantly disengaging, more of an annoyance and waste of gas. But the big scare, Hwy 17, Old Santa Cruz Rd getting on to 17, gas it to get onto the freeway, started strong got up to about 35 - 40 with Trac Ctrl

off, then fell flat on it's face with no power. Looked down and saw the RPM rise... started to feather the gas but no response and took the

ECU too much time to recover.

If there's an article already out there please, point me in the right direction...

My wife's new (06) Explorer did something similar; while she was getting on the freeway, she tried to give it more gas whilst going around the cloverleaf. It would not speed up until she got it straight and level.

I attributed it to roll control, which I don't think you can turn off. You can turn off the traction control by pushing the traction control button.

Yes, traction control off button, but it only works and turns off the trac ctrl when below speeds of 25 mph. I can also feel the roll control work when getting onto the highway, it's either cutting the power a bit or applies a bit of brake to control the vech. I think the sensitivity is set too high on both.
