Check Engine Light On

2000 Accord EX V6 58,000 mi. Check engine light came on the other day. No noticeable change in engine performance. No stalls, bucking or misses. Don't know the error code. Any related comments? Hope it's the EGR valve since that's still under warranty. Any driving limitations? MLD

find out the code, then report back.

can get codes read for free at may auto parts stores. or you can buy a reader at sears or walmart for less than your dealer will charge.

depending on the fault, you could be damaging the catalyst continuing to drive in this condition - very expensive.

First thing to check is if the gas tank filler cap is on tight. Then, get those codes read at Auto Zone or some other parts house (free), as others have suggested.
